Non-Ordered Mental Constructs

w00ts, a fl00t

A huge thanks goes out to Romy for making this flute and being kind enough to sell it to me. Since Friday I've been playing whenever I'm at home (good thing my wifey is patient) and I'm enjoying it very much.

Speaking of wives, mine just graduated from the Art Institute on Friday with Highest Honors! The years from her high school graduation to now have been long and fast. She already has a job starting Monday out near where I work. Hello carpool lane! I'm very proud of her. You rock honey!

Should a man still be getting crushes when he's 22? I thought those stopped a certain age, but apparently not! I wonder if she knows... If you do, don't freak out! I'm not stalking you! haha I just have day dreams (and night ones) of cutesy dating type things like holding hands and first kisses. Forgive this romantic fool.

I think I'm going to stop wearing shoes unless I'm at work. And carrying my flute around with me everywhere. And helping strangers. And being wanted for killing the Chinese emperor's nephew. And talking slooooow and quietly... I think I could be happy like that.

Green tea rocks. It is the liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife!

I'm starting to see the shadow of zen everywhere. Its like being in on the good-natured inside joke of the universe. Everything is light and fun.

And I do too look better with a shaved head! ;P

BuddhaDave The Ar-teest

Ahhhh, a day off at last. It had only been like eight days since I had a day off, but it feels like it was forever. Speaking of which, I have to head to bed soon.

Today we added two new additions to the family! Two gerbils, white and grey. I think I'm gonna name mine (the white) Siddhartha, haha. Hyd was thinking about naming hers Tazo. Today was just a pet day I guess. We picked up some stuff for the Maudie doggie, some new sand for the snake, and the gerbils. Hyd's snake is getting so big! We love all our six pets, haha.

Today I learned Illustrator! It rocks. A little learning curve at first, but I think I'm getting it just fine. I had lots of fun working with it today. I made some icons for my posts here and a couple other things. I have a project in mind that seems very very do-able now that I've dabbled in Illustrator. I'll post more as that develops. The icons I made are available here, if you wanna see them.

I think I'm off to bed, I'll post more this weekend. Have a good night!

The Shavening

Metatokyo.com Presents...The Shavening!

Here's how I looked heading into work a few days before The Shavening.

Here is the Before pic taken yesterday. No, that isn't dirt, that's my hearty moustache!

Here's after 5 minutes of shaving. The new shaver I bought (my old one died) crapped out.

Here are all the clippings, and my legs. Almost half a year of growth down the drain!

Here's the finished product, hot off the presses.

This whole deal was a bigger process than it should have been. The Misses hates my head shaved. She actually cried tears when I started shaving it. Between that, going through two shavers and going to the store with the front part of my head shaved, it took longer than expected.

Now I feel all unhindered and monk like. Aero totally backs me up in this, so take that Hyd! A bigger update to come later.

"Not by matted hair, nor by family, nor by birth that one becomes a Brahmin. But in whom there exist both truth and righteousness, he is pure, he is a Brahmin. What is the use of your matted hair, foolish man, and what is the use of your antelope skin garment, if you are full of passions within yourself and without adorning yourself."
