From the Notebook - Pool Night

Friday, Semptember First, Two-Thousand and Six

Fiona Apple is on and I'm drunk on Jamaican beer. Only three of them and since I took a piss my stupor has lessened considerably.

Playing pool down in Tempe where you can't smoke in-doors anywhere. I hate it. I'm carded at the door and people all around me are drinking poison and trying to get in eachother's pants. But lordy no, no smoking. Pig bastards.

A hundred green lamps over the tables. God I love green lamps. It's been raining for hours an it's still hot as fuck outside. Damn Arizona. Ye winters be sweet but the rest of the year be Hell.

The noise raises three fold once I get past the green felt pool tables. It's packed with people I never noticed. Outside people are walking around thick in the rain. I came out here for a stoogie. Not thinking. And it's still raining. I hope the man lets me back in.

People giving me (Note: There's a blank page in my notebook here) weird looks. People ride by on old-school looking bikes and motor cycles come the other way. Sounds of tropical birds in the trees but I don't know if they're real or not. The tree in front of me is in that special 4-D of just-drink-enough.

I better not linger too long else the man won't remember me and let me back in.

I am glad that you are sharing the gems that find their way into the little notebook. I knew you were doing something good in there. And hooray beer!
